PhotoFilter offers an in-browser photo editor and explanatory guides on an “as is” basis. The fine print, in plain terms:

Editing judgment is yours

Filters and sliders are tools, not verdicts. What looks right depends on your screen, your eyes and your purpose — and the same export can read differently on a phone, a laptop and a print. If an output matters (a submission, a listing, a print run), inspect the downloaded file itself before relying on it: the preview runs at reduced resolution, and final judgment belongs with the full-resolution result.

Keep your originals

Processing happens on your device and nothing is stored here — which also means we can’t recover anything for you. An edited export is a derivative, not a replacement: keep the source file, especially for photos you can’t retake and documents you’ll need again.

Guides are explanations, not contracts

The articles describe how the math works and offer editing suggestions; the formulas on the slider math page describe this tool’s implementation as tested at publication. Browsers evolve, and numbers in the guides (file-size ratios, quality ranges) are representative rather than guaranteed. If something on a page seems off, tell us — but verify anything you’ll act on.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We test the editor across formats, sizes and edge cases, but make no warranty that it is error-free or that a given export will suit a given requirement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PhotoFilter and its maintainers aren’t liable for losses arising from use of the site — including outputs that didn’t meet a requirement we didn’t set.

Advertising

The site may show third-party ads (such as Google AdSense) to cover hosting. Advertisers have no say in what the tool does, how the sliders behave, or what the guides claim.
